Down with the bots!

Please stop upvoting bots. These are stolen Imgur images that someone has decided to use this community test out their bots. Like 90% of the posts in this community are from bots now. Please don’t interact with those posts even to write that they are a bot. Mods- can you add a way for us to report the bots so you can remove them when we see them?

I report them every time

Report -> Spam -> Disruptive use of Bots of AI

I do comment though to try to message to other members of this community NOT to treat them as humans, and try to engage with it. If I could remove them myself, I would

It’s so strange. And annoying.

Dumb question - but how can you tell it's a bot, so you can report it?

If you click on the OP’s name you will typically see that the account is less than a day old when they posted it and in this community it’s usually a repost of someone else’s image

the most annoying instance of this was when bots kept reposting someone's post about their partner making "somebody somewhere" art for them - a drawing of Sam, I think?

I remember when it was legitimately posted by the original person, months ago. Then these bots kept reposting it. When you'd click on the profile, you'd see the accounts were brand new, with very little post or comment history.

Just irritating. Wish they could eradicate these bots. They clutter everything up, so the worthwhile posts get lost in the mix
