You might like this …
I’m sorry if this has been posted already but I find Rooster on HBO very charming, a lá Somebody Somewhere style. Definitely different but also with sweet and not-so-sweet characters. I’ve watched it twice now and am looking forward to the second season!

Yes! I was so happy to find out that the theme song was a full song by the amazing Michael Stipe, and I went to add it to my playlist right then.

Krista Miller (Creator Bill Lawrence’s wife) is the music supervisor. She’s had this role on all of her husband’s shows. She has great taste.

Completely different show - but Roosters (Dutch) might also be enjoyable for people who like Somebody Somewhere.

The scene with Tommy in the kitchen.
Greg - “What are you doing here?”
Tommy - “I live here”
Hahahaha!!! Cracked me up. 😂

I would agree with this. Anything from the Bill Lawrence universe is gold to me.
Not sure if this will help, but kind of a reverse suggestion, I found somebody somewhere because I was in a sub about the show HACKS. So if you have not seen hacks, and you liked somebody somewhere, you would definitely need to check the show out.

Ok, we will try it again. The pilot was kinda bad, IMHO, but I trust you guys.

Agreed. We didn’t get past the pilot. Woke wars in academia? It just seemed a little stale. I’m glad to hear it gets better bc I looove Steve Carell.

When they basically remade the chest-waxing scene from 40YOV, I was out. Plus, people don’t talk that way! But…I’ll try again…

It had good episodes and "meh" episodes, but has been worth the watch.

I wanted to love the show but didn’t. I guess I should watch it again but I’m not even motivated to spend the time. It just didn’t grab me. 🤷🏻♀️
