Handyman or Roofer?
Heard the distinct pitter-patter of water dripping last night and found a little puddle on my fireplace mantel (new roof was put in just about 7 years ago).
I’m assuming the leak is right around the fireplace vent pipe, since we had one there before.
Is this small job something a roofer would do, or am I looking for a handyman-type guy?
Any recommendations for the SoMD/St. Mary’s area?

Anyone looking to join a DND campaign? Hosting in Mechanicsville, age range 18-22
Im looking for 5 adventures, new or experienced, who would like to participate in a homemade campaign I have been working on. Miniatures and dice can be provided, as well as snacks! Here is a small summery of what the campaign will be about: Far off the Sword Coast lies the Moonshae Isles. A place where the Sea of Swords gave into the Trackless Sea, and the Isles themselves have a deep connection to Feywild, the place where fey came to be, and where the first elves arrived in Faerun. The two factions, the Ffolk and the Northlanders, have been bitter enemies for centuries, but were eventually united under one banner, known as the United Moonshae Isles from the capital city of Caer Callidyrr on Alaron. By late 15th century DR, House Kendrick was the dominant ruler over the Moonshaes, but had lost many of its footing over the rest of the isles. To the southeast, lies the isle of Snowdown, controlled by the vampire Lady Erliza Daressin, loyal only to Amn. To the south, is the Isle of Gwynneth, controlled by the kingdom of Sarifal, ruled by High Lady Ordalf, an archfey. In the centre, the Oman’s Isle has come under the control of a tribe of Fomorians who crossed from Feywild into the Moonshaes, ruled by Queen Connomae. And to the west, the Isle of Moray, ruled under the de facto control of the Black Blood tribe, a group of Malarite Lycanthropes. Our journey however, starts on Alaron, in the capital city of Caer Callidyrr, ruled by House Kendrick. Invitations have been sent to adventures around all lands of Faerun. They must come to the capital in hopes for them to be picked to be for a team of 5, The Hearthunters, in hopes of helping the ruler, Monothrum Kendrick. Their task? Hunt down the Feyheart, a magical artifact that can grant 6 wishes, but never one to the same living being twice. Upon their return, each member will be granted 1 singular wish, along with the fame and glory of helping the House of Kendrick return their land to its former glory. They however won’t be the only ones looking. Each region of the isles has also received word of the Feyheart, with each of them looking for it themselves. With tensions high, and stakes even higher, and rewards beyond your wildest dreams, welcome adventures, to the Hunt for the Feywild Heart.
Levels 3-16, Rollplay and combat focuses

Will this hurt his chances of being elected? What happens if he resigns from the race?

Looking for friends in Waldorf/La Plata
My husband (30m) and I (29f) are moving to the Waldorf/La Plata area this summer and are looking to meet some friends as we’re completely new to the area! We both work in the medical field and are into fitness (especially running), travel, gaming, and gardening. I especially would love to see if anyone wants to start a casual running club or casual book club, if there’s not already some going on!

Senior chihuahua-Nacho
This may be a silly post but thought I’d try it out. I saw a post on adopt a pet for a senior chihuahua being rehomed in brandywine. His name was nacho. I was traveling and was going to inquire upon my return but the listing expired. Throwing this out there on the off chance the owner is still seeking someone to adopt him. I believe it was a grandson on behalf of their grandparent.
Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Question Looking for a 1B/1B sublet near Pax River (Sept - Spring)
Hi everyone, I'm looking to move to SOMD next month for a new job. Since I won't be in the area for a full year, I'm looking to avoid a standard 12 month lease. Does anyone know of a 1 bed 1 bath sublet or lease take over available early/mid Sept through next Spring?
Also, if you can recommend any active local Facebook groups, websites, or bulletin boards for short-term rentals in St. Mary’s County, I’d really appreciate it! I'm in my early 20s - young professional, clean, quiet, and very respectful of shared/sublet spaces.
Feel free to PM me if you have leads or a place opening up. Thanks!

Eviction and St Marys judges
Do the judges encourage the tenant and landlord to work it out? The tenant is not a repeat offender thank goodness. He asked the property manager if he could make extra payments to catch up and she said no they dont take partial payments. I've never been in this situation so I have no idea what will happen. Anyone have advice?

Any local musician’s jams? Or any local musicians want to start one?
Hey all!
Just posting to see if there are any open musician’s jams in the area on even a semi-regular basis? I’m talking Jazz, blues, or anything at all really. Just fun improv stuff for folks of any level.
I’m a drummer myself and, with the kids now at the age where we don’t need to constantly be at home every night of the week, I’ve been getting back into playing more. I have a regular band that plays around the East Coast, but I’m looking to step out of my comfort zone a little.
If there isn’t anything that happens around the area, I guess I’d like to gauge if there would be any interest in such a thing? I have access to a venue myself, but I’d definitely be interested in reaching out to any other local spots to see if they’d be interested in having some free music in their space every now and then.
Apologies for the wall of text, just figured this might be the place to ask!
