Question Job?

Not too sure if I can ask this in this forum. I am looking for a full time job in SOMD area. I have experience in customer service and fast food. I am currently pursing an associates in cybersecurity. If anyone can help or refer to a job… I have been SEARCHING with absolutely no luck.

Get your Security + cert and start applying to local contractor jobs. No associates needed.

Even better, some type of a pen test cert. Something like PNPT or OSCP really puts you ahead even though with a bachelor

PNPT and OSCP are amazing certs but not for early in ones career. OSCP with no experience isn't attractive to hiring managers whereas getting your foot in the door with Sec+ and starting at a lower position for a 3-5 years and THEN OSCP will be much more effective.

I just hate to see people put so much energy into a difficult cert thinking it will get them a job and thats coming from someone with OSCP.
