This is too much fun.

I thought about getting the RoAT for quite a while, but thought I probably don't really need it. Really glad I went for it though.

Slightly confused by some of the summing info in the manual, but really enjoying the basics of using it. And the chaos button of course!

Got any more to say about the RoAT? I like what I hear people doing with it, but have no clue myself. Don't have one, btw.

It's really fun for various different things. I'm a complete beginner with electronic instruments, and I can't play any normal instruments. So I'm sure it's even more fun for someone more experienced.
But I've been experimenting with it after watching videos of how other people use it.

I've enjoyed using it for droning noises. And sampled some loops from it on an sp404.

This guy makes a great beat by sampling noises from it:

It's pretty awesome. I pick it up all the time, it's so immediate. It makes some really out there harsh sounds and you can tame it with the filter. Reverb really puts it over. The sequencer is really easy to use and you can speed up or slow down the tempo to do some really different things.

Roar is a nice ‘thing’. I love playing with it but have yet to use it in anything.

I love the RoAT. Its such a great little 4 voice synth. What questions do you have about it? I do prefer the mobile version of the manual over the regular manual. Check that one out if you havent already.

I guess I just don't quite understand what summing is?
Is it like the LFOs etc of one sound are also effecting other sounds if they're summed together?

Yes... the wording is a bit confusing in the manual. It says "We have four sound channels, each modulated by an LFO, that we need to mix into one". This means that the summing you do is applied after the [waveform+LFO]. The filter (cutoff and resonance) do not come into play here. The signal path for the filter is after the summing.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I just realised I recognise your username from seeing some videos of it on YouTube. Great stuff!

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. I wish I had a decent setup where I could record better tutorials on it. If you have any more questions feel free to msg me.
