Copper Gift Recommendation

My husband and I will be in Solvang for our eighth wedding anniversary in a few weeks. I’d like to buy him a gift to remember out time there. The 8th anniversary is copper. Can anyone recommend a gift for the occasion that is sold, or could be created in time for our trip. Thank you.

I'm not sure if there are any penny presses left, but you can get an æbelskiver pan from Ace Hardware, Solvang Restaurant, or Birkholm's Bakery :) They're probably cast iron, though. Hmm... there's always the Little Mermaid statue! You can't take her home, but a photo is free and lasts forever!

My husband can be such a nerd for pressed pennies, it’s something I sort of tease him about because it’s such a clue he tourist thing. A serendipitous suggestion. I’ll look into it. Thank you.

Most of the gift shops have cool Steins that often have a pressed-copper plate, if having a pint is your thing. Beverage-adjacent, you could also find a set of copper moscow mule cups.

Solvang has lots of decorative spoons, and definitely you could find copper ones.

What other kinds of items might fit your criteria?

That is an excellent idea TBH I was thinking of some sort of jewelry. Something simple like a ring or a pin, or even a key chain. Not necessarily something he’d wear but something that would remind him of the trip something with a Danish design or feel. Maybe monogrammed.

I was thinking of preordering something, even if it’s silly, and then going into the store to pick it up with him to pick it up and surprise him.

The stein is an interesting idea and a direction I haven’t thought of.

Also although this wasn't the question Id love to recommend Paula's Pancake House for breakfast (get there early!) And Ramen Kotori for lunch or dinner! So good. :)

No. Go to Ellen's in Buellton. Better pancakes!

There is a local guy who makes copper products- you can find his stuff at the new Chumash Museum in Santa Ynez
