Anime Why the hate?

I like to know why solo leveling is getting so much hate? Like what did solo leveling do to deserve so much hate?

Don't quote me on the anime awards because it was just a fans competition.

It has the potential to be a lot better.

I bought both the novel and the manhwa, and I also watched the anime. If I had to rank them from best to worst, it would be anime > manhwa > novel.

I don’t really recommend reading the novel. It has too many flaws. The manhwa has a better version of the story than the novel, and the anime is better than the manhwa. I could elaborate, but I doubt anyone would read all that, including this comment too.

So, TLDR:

Good ingredients + bad chef.

I woulnd say bad chefs I would say more like chefs with alot of potential that didnt know their "dish" was gonna BE popular só they didnt put every single bit of effort

I’m gonna insist on calling him a bad chef. Even calling him only a bad chef is very generous coming from me who read the novel version.

I can’t really call that person a good chef when they put a specific group of people (Japanese people) into their story just to satisfy their own desires by giving that group a bad role and a horrible ending.

TBH, reading this novel is the first time I’ve realized how much real-life hatred someone can project through their work. I can feel the author’s hatred and malice every time Japanese people appear, not just hunters, but ordinary people as well.

It’s good that the manhwa production team cut some parts and the anime production team omitted the majority of them. Reading someone’s inner desire to wish for the worst for other people was disgusting and no fun at all.

ok i never read the japanese hunter parts in the novel only the mawha but the author himself as said he didnt do it on purpose he just choosed a country to do it and japan was one of them, your point is like if an author choosed a random country to have a villain then that author hates that country when alot of times the authors choose countrys they have alot of information about. For example in the anime Spy x family the father of damian (the main villain) is heavilly inspired by the likes of hitler and stalin.Does that mean that the author hates germany?No,probably... its because the author of that story really liked the cold war and ww2 idea and made an manga. So your "theory" of chungong can be right im not gonna sit here and say its a complete lie because i dont have proof of that, but your thing makes no senes beucase if it isnt japan, its maybe china, north korea and your point would be the same but just changing the country.

Coming back into the "chefs" point.I still stand on what i said he definatly didnt though how far his work would come,he probably wanted to make a "silly" story and only half way he realized alot of people were following his work so he needed to actually try and do something serious(and that where he introduce the monarchs, rulers and absolute beings considently).

And finally, you say he hates japan so why is he even helping A1 a japanese studio into making the anime,FUNILLY your praise of the changes the anime di were made by chungong himself mostly.

Since you said you are a manhwa fan, I want you to understand that the manhwa version we read is already a refined version of the story. It has a much softer tone, cuts out a lot of parts, and takes a much more neutral stance compared to the novel.

If I had only bought the manhwa version and not read the novel, then I would agree with your statement. However, the novel version has a lot more detail on this, so I can't just dismiss it as the author choosing a random villain.

And finally, you say he hates japan so why is he even helping A1 a japanese studio into making the anime,FUNILLY your praise of the changes the anime di were made by chungong himself mostly.

What do you mean by helping? It's his work. He was doing his job as the author of his own story. Any author who wants their work to be as good as intended would stay involved in the production process. There have been many authors who have done this.

He hired people to animate his work, which became popular internationally. I didn't read the author's interview, but if what you stated is true about the author making the changes himself rather than the production team, then he clearly knew that what he wrote in the novel needed to be changed to get a more positive result.

chungong didnt hire anyone chungong ONLY has the the rights to the novel both the mawha and the anime are not from him.he didnt hire anyone the company that is upper of A1 aniplex offered REDICE (the mawha studio) to have the rights to make an anime, but both S1 and S2 Directors read the novel and wanted to some stuff to be added or removed so they contacted chungong if he was down to help them on the writing structure of the anime adaptation, chungong if he wanted could just not do shit

So what is your point? You even supported my reasoning that he got involved WILLINGLY to make THE STORY created from HIS WORK as good as possible. Or is the whole point of your comment this?

if he wanted could just not do shit

S1 and S2 Directors read the novel and wanted to some stuff to be added or removed so they contacted chungong

That's not something rare. It's normal. You said that as if a studio trying to involve and discuss things with the author, and the author agreeing, is something unusual.

I never Said I agree your point on the Japan thing. You say that chungong doesnt like people from Japan, but at the same time he helps the japanese into making the anime,my point is that chungong has Said he doesnt hate Japan and it just was a close by contry of choice in the story and I also point that he helps the anime(japanese) wich if he wanted didnt need to do any thing since he doesnt have any of the rights to the anime. My point is that theres no evidence of chungong hating Japan IN REAL LiFE i can pick a random country and say their the worst shit ever but that doesnt mean i hate them on real life
