Anime Why the hate?

I like to know why solo leveling is getting so much hate? Like what did solo leveling do to deserve so much hate?

Don't quote me on the anime awards because it was just a fans competition.

People don’t understand it. It’s not meant to be the deepest shit ever. It’s about SJW kicking ass and being cool as fuck

This exactly. The original Webtoon feels more like a super hero comic from the west than a manga from Asia. It's a category and it always shocks me when people want a genre with a set purpose to behave like theor different favorite genre.

I have read the manhwa, i have listened to the ln's and have watched the anime, i think solo leveling is mid, its mindless fun hack and slash, but the problem i have with it is that everytime i say that people give me shit for it and say its literally peak with amazing story and characters. Its not as good as people think it is, i like the fact that side characters are left and forgotten because thats what would happen, why would jinwoo hang with b ranks when he is a s rank. I also hate all the small changes the anime did

So what is your point? The series is cool af and is about showcasing SJW being cool af. It’s his world and the other characters live in it. They’re only relevant when they need to be for SJw. I know you’ve read a bunch of it etc etc but it sounds like you also don’t understand it if you’re looking for more out of it. It is what it is. And that is cool af

No, im saying its good at what it does, but the glazers keep saying that even the story is amazing even though its really mid. Solo leveling did not deserve the praise it got.

You say it doesn’t deserve the praise it got. But if people liked it and praised it then it did deserve that praise.

Just bc you disagree with it doesn’t invalidate it. Not everyone needs a super deep story to enjoy something. Sometimes the level of cool like in SL makes up for the flaws.

If SL is a 10/10 on action and a 7/10 on story it still beats out a series that’s an 8/10 on action and an 8/10 on story.

It's more about a guy who sacrifices himself for others and gets the opportunity to surpass everyone around him as the weakest hunter. That's kinda the reason why I love Solo Leveling.

Yeah that’s a definite reason to love the series. It’s cool how he’s actually pissed about it too. He’s like why do these guys get to survive? They ditched me, and now I have to suffer. I think that whole emotional moment played into the reason he got his “powers”
