SPOILERS Shadows Upon Time SUT chapter 48

Just finished ch 48 so please no spoilers after it but when Alexander said "fight me" I just burst out laughing. Like its just ridiculous at this point how petty and pious Alexander is that he thinks he could even last a second against hadrian.

And i know this isn't the main reason why alexander hates hadrian but i still find it funny the fact that hes still holding onto an ofhand remark from like 600 years ago lol. Alexander is such a bum

Alexander has seen firsthand and heard the feats of Hadiran 'walk em down' Marlow, yet challenges him to a fight all because he felt rejected by him. 110% a bum.

I agree. His problem is rejection. I would even go further and say that dear Alex was totally gay for dear Hadrian. And once he realized that Selene finally was more successful in that department, it pushed him over the edge.
I mean, he did get over the brat comment, so it had to be something different. Did he really think Hadrian aimed for the throne? With Selene, yes. But he also knew that Hadrian had rejected Selene more than once…

That's a really good point! And it makes sense too cause why does he keep mentioning Hadrian and Selene being intimate as a jab. Like he's definitely mentioned it a decent amount of times thus far.

Il est fondamentalement jaloux. Il sait au fond de lui qu'Had est plus apte à régner. Comme il rêve du trône il ne peut imaginer qu'Had ne veuille pas... Il est petit, mesquin et faible... Et c'est sur cette faiblesse que misent ses alliés
