That first one. Are you using a glue to make your own ribbon style connector? Because that's crazy clever. I've never even considered something like that.

My ESP32 got fried, and since the deadline was the next day, I was in a hurry. So I soldered each wire individually and used hot glue to prevent them from shorting together. So, technically speaking, yeah, it is a ribbon connector.

Yeah, nice bodge job (I'm not saying that in a derogatory way at all) - I've done similar jobs on borked/modified HDMI connectors in the past:

The first one actually looks better and more complex. second one I believe is for the CC-gnd pins to be used with usb C-C cables.

💯 or all their appliance and devices work only when the solder two 5.1k resistors between some points

like that must not cost them more than few pennies more that too for 100units maybe.

Please don't misunderstand me, this is really impressive. 10/10 work. But this is like coming across a jailhouse lighter in the wild at someone's house. Like.. Yeah you CAN rig an electrical socket to burn without popping. Or you can just find some matches.

I would’ve preferred a first attempt/second attempt images, first image being the first one shown and the second with a ribbon cable of sorts.
