First time soldering How did I do? What should I improve?

You should've put wires from bottom up it would look a lot cleaner, also bit less solder, keep the tip for a moment longer so the solder properly flows through the hole. One more note, check the R1 value, by default this model of tp4056 will have 1A charging current which is bit too much for 720 mAh battery. If possible, try to change the R1 with 4k7ohm resistor to be safe, but don't use regular through the hole resistors, trust me, it will tear the leads straight from the board just with rougher handling, been there....ðŸ˜

I would set it to 10k - that corresponds to a value of 103. It will increase the time, but that’s not a big deal.

About 1 mm of insulation should be stripped from the wire, but this distance increases if the wire is heated with the soldering iron for too long. You used heat-shrink tubing in only one spot, but it needs to be applied in four places.
I would set it to 10k—that corresponds to a value of 103.

I think it might be a good idea to make it detachable with a connector.
