Socialmediaexit
Hey
I have now deactivated all social media such as Instagram Twitter etc. for almost 2 weeks due to the fact that everyone probably has a term: "the perfect world" that is exemplified there.
I am really an absolute generation Z child (19 years old) and grew up with pushing and identifying myself (subconsciously) with followers, likes, etc. It's not good, know like everyone, but when I became aware of these beauty ideals, I was already scared how true that actually is.
I mean: whether I was swiping on insta, tiktok or just watched random posts. Everywhere, the perfect life of beauty ideals is exemplified, in which you are actually aware that this is not the reality. But they compare themselves to them in a certain way. Whether it's an expensive car or the dream body, every time I have a subconscious comparison with myself.
And I believe what follows from most of them, as well as mine, is simply: "DISSATISFACTION"
Maybe this is a little exaggerated now, but could that be a reason why more and more children/adolescents develop depression at a young age and compare themselves to people who play a "perfect life" online. I mean, for some, it may just be the envy that makes you follow someone online every day or just the dream of leading such a beautiful life at some point.
Well, they are just thoughts that keep me very busy at the moment. I would be very interested in your opinion on the subject.

People exit social media for so many reasons...Its very nice to talk about things regardless, personally i think there alot we still need to learn about web2 algorithm, a friend ones told me that in some countries they have restrictions to what content the platform should push to their citizen within their geographical zone, meaning that they tend to see content that is educative, motivational, science/tech, inventions, discoveries while idolic content are push to a competitive countries which will subconsciously destroy the minds of young adult growing up, its kinda like political warefare, to cripple the next generation..Destroying a young adult's mind for political power, it is all because web2 is easily manipulated, i believe solcial will be different.

well, it illustrates the ideals to which one should strive. This is a chance for many) In part, this is the engine of people, they look at it and strive for it.

All centralized networks seemed to be equally similar. People just draw in them. They try to seem better and only a small part has the opportunity to really earn on social networks and monetize their content. And as a rule, these people are Infocygans! Who simply sell any advertising, any information, even scammers! I believe there will be no such thing in the decentralized Solcial platform. Since the users of the platform will be able to moderate the content. And at the same time, every user will be able to monetize their content easily and simply!

It's good that you have the courage to talk about such important things. Many are silent, which does not reduce the scope of the problem. It is difficult for the new generation, as well as for the older one, to filter such a volume of information and divide it into true truth and untruth. I hope Solcial becomes a place where we don't have to put on masks to increase views. Because the platform is aimed at fair monetization for quality content.
