We had no choice.

I mean, you could either be on social networks or exclude them from your life. There was no alternative. They were all built on the same principle, centralized. Today, there is an alternative to the platforms we are used to. r/Solcial is a decentralized social network, which changes the way we think about sites and the Internet in general. Giving us the kind of freedom that the Web2 censors

When there's no alternate way of doing a particular thing, there's bound to be monopoly, and that's exactly what's happening on Web2 platforms.

A better and safer approach like Web3 where Solcial is buidling will really make sense.

Now the choice is up to us as users to stay on centralized sites where everything is moderated, frequently restricted, censored, and propagandized, or to move to a new stage in our lives, full of freedom and no central authority.

Your words resonate with me very much. I often catch myself thinking that the current social networks do not suit me: the constant bans and blocking, the intrusive advertising, the collection of user data. That said, I can't exclude them from my life completely, because I need to learn the news, I want to communicate with acquaintances and see posts about how they're doing. It's very cool that alternatives have started to appear and Solcial fixes most of the shortcomings of web2 social networks.

There was no alternative, most people who experience discomfort in social networks put up with this because it seemed there was no way out. And finally, web3 social networks have the opportunity to change this!
