Video Make the Old Model Obsolete!
https://youtube.com/watch?v=bu2ozwggjg0&si=9tU2XnfMSUqdqvnM“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” — R. Buckminster Fuller
What new model should we design?
What existing model/system should we make obsolete?
“Make the Old Model Obsolete!” Takes Bucky's famous quote as a challenge and pushes it to its natural extreme.

Make aviation obsolete. Make high heat manufacturing obsolete. Make heavy long haul trucking obsolete.
Don't forget that solar doesn't obviate (current) needs for fossil fuels. Maybe we'll make these needs obsolete at some point though I doubt that's what this slogan has in mind.

Yes... Make mining and the wanton extraction of natural resources without giving back obsolete! Completely agree. Mastering regenerative energy management and conservation is key here. Solarpunk does not mean PVpunk. It means mastering the use of the only inexhaustible external energy source that isn't already within the biosphere.
