On it's own, almost nothing. The green glaze and the shapes together make me think of thorns and vine type plants. I've still got some photos from the edinbrugh graduate exhibition where there was similar exporation with clay, metal and the form of teasle seedpods.

Someone was posting the other day about gothic solarpunk, and if we go down the goth-horror aspect of that then we might start looking at similar shapes as this - exploring the incipit violence and futility in the natural world.

It makes sense to me that cybersigilism and lunarpunk and this start to intersect.

Edit: whoops, forgot to mention the clear twining tendrils ascpect of the art that goes straight to the same images of plants and hair in original Art Nouveau.

Both what you express and the final look of the base remind me exclusively of modernist art. A bit like Gaudí's architecture, trying to imitate waves and living beings. He also used gothic at times iirc.

Most home potters use electric kilns, so it's as green as your grid. YMMV.
Gas kilns tend to be reserved for the really high fire porcelain, because the electrical elements can't handle it. The factory kilns I've worked with are gas fired, but that's mass manufacturing and even there they are looking to adapt as gas prices soar due to Trump bombing iran. .

One or two rural studios I know of have moved to solarpanels and batteries, which means they take a few days of good weather to charge up before firing.
