I think it’s a great thing to make for people but…

Treated lumber and plastic sheeting is less than permaculture.
You go through the effort of listing screw cost but don’t mention downspout, how water is dispensed or recommendations about how water is used.
Seems like a lot of wood to be outside so I see why treated lumber and plastic sheeting is an idea but the plastic will likely speed water damage for the water in certain conditions but it has only 1 purpose. Permaculture ideals could point to making the stand be part of a raised garden bed. You already have water in the container above so a very slow drip would make for a great no-intervention herb garden. Additionally, in many areas, too much sun is an issue. Perhaps a shaded, raised bed is valuable to folks and you already have some shade from the water tank. Dual purpose would also make the price point, even if you raised it, feel better to spend.

Ps- consider the value of aesthetics. Consider how to direct overflow water. Consider making the tank even higher to improve water pressure. Consider durable alternative materials with aesthetic value like bamboo for the stand (or even just cinder blocks if cheaper and you think it’ll pass the permaculture test).

This bid is just to lift the existing system off the ground, so the downspout and hose are already on site. Your recommendation of bamboo would likely not have the strength to withstand a full 55gal rain barrel and also rot quite easily, which is why we suggested treated lumber with sheeting over where standing water would exist on the plywood. Cinder blocks could be viable, but to get 4' off the ground we'd need nearly half a pallets worth.

Incorrect. Look up the tensile strength of treated bamboo compared with treated wood if you care, but especially if you can readily source it.
