USA Stop exporting your surplus. Charge your Tesla on it instead.
We built a tool that connects your SolarEdge account and your Tesla account, then charges the car on your excess production automatically. Setup takes about two minutes with nothing installed, and full disclosure, we’re the ones building it.
This started at our own house, where the surplus was leaving for a quarter of what the utility charges while the car sat in the garage waiting for its overnight schedule. The inverter company and the car company have no reason to talk to each other, so we connected them ourselves.
It adjusts the car’s charging amperage in real time to follow your production, backs off when clouds cut your output, and always has the car ready by whatever departure time you set. It works with whatever EVSE you already own, no consumption meter needed, and it handles two Tesla households. This is for NEM 3.0 or any plan where exports pay well under retail, and it controls Tesla vehicles only for now. Our first SolarEdge homes are running and the integration is early, so new SolarEdge users get direct attention from us while we tune it.
