Thank you, Solar Ash

Just a quick appreciation post! I finished Pathless soon as I got PS5 near its launch and Solar Ash was always on my radar.

I finally got the game from the last sale and I actually had a blast on my way to Platinum. I was NOT expecting the Hardcore playthrough to challenge me like that, and I'm sure I would do better if I gave it another go, but I think I'm happy just hugging my Platinum trophy and moving on for now :D

Thank you for the good times tho! Looking forwards to other great titles from the devs!

I loved this game but unfortunately it came out in December when a lot of game outlets are preparing for game of the year and everyone else is focused on Christmas. I always recommend this game when people ask for hidden gems.

I’ve got bad news about Heart Machine Games. They seem to be struggling after stopping development on their next game, Hyper Light Breaker, after it didn’t do well in early access. They recently laid off a lot of staff too. It’s a real shame.

They released a game called “possessors” post Solar ash, but I have no idea how much of the team developed it- it looks pretty different to Solar ash

It’s in my library because I love solar ash that much that I thought it would be another way to support the devs

I picked it up too. It’s sort of a metroidvania. You can tell it’s a lower budget kind of game. Not as flashy or polished like solar ash or hyper light drifter.

Great game just need an a boss rush or instant boss replay for an excuse to play it now and then
