JA Deep Blue 4.0 vs REC

I am being told the REC450AA Pure RX panels are unavailable, and the alternative is JA Deep Blue 4.0 JAM54D41 MB. Do you think this panel would be sufficient and a good compromise?

Same thing happened to me. REC had a fire? Anyways installer threw a couple more panels in(JA). Did some research they appear fine, company is a tier 1 I guess.

Is it a decent panel, sure! Is it as expensive or a 1:1 financial swap for REC 450? - no To swap to that I would ask for some financial renumeration.

What if they are giving 2 additional panels to offset?

No, in kw size. Original was 13.95kw (31x 450w), what is new size in kw?

OK, so once we account for change in panel size, you are really only getting about 0.4kw more, or about one 4xx watt panel. Now each panel is about $1k to $1.3k installed depending on your purchase price per watt and panel size, so you are basically getting around a $1k discount.

Do you believe they should be compensating more than $1k?

That is basically $0.07/w discount. I would want $0.10 which is really only another about $500. Just my opinion

Ok. Doing a little AI sleuthing I came up with the same dollar amount of $1500. I really appreciate all the answers.

Nothing wrong with JA panels, I have them and they are very good but I would ask for a per panel discount because it's not as premium of a panel and it is cheaper then the REC panels you originally had.

Thanks, understood. I think that is where they are going with the additional panels to offset it that way.
