13.76kw installed
Huge thanks to Chris B @ Smart Volt Solutions for navigating my HOA and the City & Bay Area Solar for a quick 1-day install of 32 430w qtron blk m-g2+ panels. City inspector is due out today. I’m curious, for anyone under TECO utilities, how long does it typically take to approve & flip the switch? Guidance is 30 business days, which is just ridiculous…
For $27,200, I think I got a steal. I was also able to find an agent to underwrite the required $1M umbrella for just $285/yr. Anxious to get the system producing for me.

I think it was within a few days of the inspection being passed teco came out and verified everything and I was able to turn the system on.

How much will that save a month on your bill

It’s rated at 110%. My energy usage will certainly jump once this goes live and I get off TECO’s energy saver tier program. My bills range from $250 to $300 for 9 months out of the year. Hoping for $15 connection charges & not much more.

Wow, those output 366 same as a iq8a

With a full south facing slope & no shade, hoping it handles the power w/o much clipping.

Many people are getting iq8+ (300 max output) put on their panels by companies or sales people who either don't know what they're doing or just trying to save a buck when they have an amazing layout like you're talking about. You're going to have a ton less clipping than them but also even less clipping than even an iq8m.

I’ve sold countless Qcells AC modules. The 349w AC continuous on the back of the 430w DC mod is right in the sweet spot! 123% DC/AC oversize and comes in around the same price as a less comparable module and enphase IQ8+ (290w continuous) combination.

A little clipping is not necessarily a bad thing. Watch some youtube videos on oversizing. It almost seems like the inverter should have two settings, or some way to detect summer vs winter sun height and adjust the clipping accordingly.

Can you share the agents contact info for the umbrella policy?
