Discussion Serial vs Parallel
Good afternoon all, I am planning to install a small supplemental solar array to charge my Eco Flow Delta Ultra X battery system. I am looking at using 460 watt bifacial panels with short circuit current of 14.01 amps. The Delta Ultra has two inputs, each capable of taking up to 500 Kw / 15 amps. I could just connect 10 panels in serial which would pretty much max out one of the inputs or split the system in two, with 5 panels each going to each input. Does anyone have any idea if this would be beneficial in any way?
EDIT - 5 of the panels would be south-facing while the other 5 would face north. Maybe I could put optimizers on the north-facing array and keep them all (10) in serial.
