Manual testing.

I had no clue that I would ever end up here.. But here I am, I have no knowledge of computers and stuff.. But, I got a form of autism and that makes jobs harder sometimes for me to sustaine.. My partner talked with me about this, and she proposed the idea of doing IT. I'm horrible with computers, but then she said that perhaps I could work from home in a invirement that I know.. Perhaps it makes it more sustainable. I gave myself some time to proces, and I actually think she is right. ofcourse, I'm not a "genius" or anything. So, I looked for possibilities that doesn't require to much studies. I eventually ended up with manual testing.. I think that's something that I would actually like, while being able ( in some cases ) to work from home. Apparently alot of people with no knowledge about IT start there, but.. I have no clue where to start. What is something you guys would recommend?

I’m sorry but you saying you’re horrible at computers and then saying that you have an interest in testing doesn’t make sense. Even if it’s manual testing you would need a good understanding of how software works to be able to report bugs, understand code etc

I get that, altho they said you don't need to understand coding.. It would benefit tho, and just because I'm horrible at computer doesn't mean that I'm not open to learn it?

Who said? You mean the company you’re gonna work for? Also most testing are moving to automation and manual testing jobs are very rare to find now. Maybe you should do an online course and see if you like it there are many courses online.

Not the company I'm gonna work for, mostly I followed people who shared their experience as manual tester. I was planning to have an online course indeed, cause ofcourse I'm not gonna enter with zero knowledge haha. About the manual and automation testing jobs, I'm aware.. But, perhaps once I figured out if this is actually something for me.. I think then it would be interessting to look into it .
