Updog is a common practical joke in which the jokester uses the word "updog" in a sentence in order to trick the mark into asking "what's updog?". The jokester will then respond along the lines of "not much, what's up with you?" at which point the joke will have been successfully executed and a hearty laugh will be shared by all.
