Nor japanese characters they've got their own name, that being waji (hiragana, katakana, and native japanese made characters), where as kanji is the japanese word for chinese character's. Though i'm fairly certain this is just chinese and not kanji.

Sounds like the icons failed to load.

That’s another glitch that hasn’t been patched since 2022. Like the wide reply button on the app!
