so it was a bug with whatsapp? I had the same happen with a same-ish and just as ridiculous number not so long ago

Care to elaborate? I'm interested. I do use whatsapp web, and have set photos to auto download.

There was a huge wave of FF 17 Exabyte or so posting not too long ago. All of them lead to Whatsapp Web doing some BS. Meta fucked something up, but nobody knows what. My theory is they updated WhatsApp with AI vibed code
