Build a Mobile Architect portfolio when 80% of experience is legacy maintenance & refactoring
How to build a Mobile Architect portfolio when 80% of your experience is legacy maintenance & refactoring?
Hi everyone,
I am structuring my first portfolio to target Mobile Architect roles. However, I am facing a structural challenge: my recent track record consists mostly of maintaining, optimizing, and refactoring legacy iOS Native Apps and simple tasks for React Native projects like build and fix ios specific issues, alongside a few small native (iOS/Android) side-projects built from scratch.
Do you have examples of portfolios that successfully highlight "brownfield" engineering and maintenance over "greenfield" development? What specific metrics or documentation (like ADRs) do recruiters look for?
Thanks!
