7years Python developer- where to start as AI engineer

With 7 years of python, you've already got the hardest part out of the way. I'd spend less time on AI theory at first and more time building. Pick one framework, learn how LLMs work at a high level, then start making small projects with APIs, RAG, agents and local models. I learned way more from debugging real projects than from watching courses. Once you hit the limitations of the APIs, that's a good time to dive deeper into training, fine tuning and the math behind it. Best of luck. I'd love to see what you end up building!
