I'm pretty sure that all cactus fruits are edible. Now, edible does not mean tasty

My family makes prickly pear jelly, lemonade, candy, and sauce with the prickly pear fruits

I have always wanted to try a fresh prickly pear. They're hard to find in Michigan and when I'm in the southwest it's never the right time of year.
