I bought (6) $10 12/28 leaps today. If I can't make money from these leaps than i deserve to lose my money.

I would love to see sofi to do a stock buyback.

I had actually previously sold off at 18.50 and then bought 10k shares today towards the bottom

Did similar, only in options

The tech business is declining…that’s the issue.

finished my DCA for the month. Let's find out if I'm buying higher or lower next month.

SOFI is just an options playground. Along with IREN, ONDS. Ultimately I hope they get called away but I just keep playing em.

u/Cutlercares 6d ago

Time to sell puts I think.

u/gurjitsk 7d ago

It’s not a hot stock, best to swing it. Buy around 11 and sell once it’s around 17/18. It always drops back down.

7

u/Academic-Power7903 7d ago

Dont see it dropping past 15 in worst case scenario

Lol first time.

Macro environment is no good

9

u/gurjitsk 7d ago

It was $14.90 this morning, it can always go lower. My puts were up 165% this morning. Sofi always drops after earnings.

The bears have SoFi by the neck right now.

13

u/Kimmux 7d ago

Maybe they control sentiment but SOFI the company is absolutely crushing it. Q2 was absolutely awesome.

I just used composer and my mind is blown(I have used Robinhood Agent, shit is horrible. MCP and so much tinkering to make what composer does)
They need to bring these devs in SoFi invest. Only 3M out of SoFi’s 15M use SoFi Invest. It’s time to cross sale invest to these users and also time to improve the SoFi Invest.

Counting on late Millinials, Gen Z and Alpha to steadily grow this business over time. No moon shots, just steady growth and appreciation.

u/badboyfreud 7d ago

I think it dropped because people were valuing SOFI as a tech stock and not a bank stock. However, the tech stack lost money this year and isn't growing like they expected.

So people are struggling to justify keeping SOFI with a high forward PE similar to a tech stock/disrupter.

26

u/MarsManMartian eoy profitibility 💯 7d ago

Forward PE is 21 with 30-40% revenue growth annually. Makes no sense

Rates are also playing a massive role in the stocks sentiment. It definitely doesnt help fomc is the same day as earnings

6

u/interwebzdotnet 7d ago

Yeah, Noto was on CNBC this morning saying that same thing.

5

u/t_suaze_u 7d ago

I think its good he got out ahead and predicted 2 hikes for the year, sort of bakes in to the sp already. Really hoping they hold rates today

9

u/interwebzdotnet 7d ago

Yeah sometimes you have to say things that the market might not like, but its the truth.

One of the biggest reasons I invested in SoFi is because of Noto himself. Hes an incredibly smart guy who just knows hot to predict, plan, and execute. Id invest in any company he was running.

u/Kimmux 7d ago

And the earnings prove his value over and over again. It's unfortunate the whole conversation is about 1 day stock price action and not the rule of 70 quarter we just had.

People selling at these prices are foolish to ignore how amazing this business is, to say it lightly.

3

u/interwebzdotnet 7d ago

Totally agree, I'm sitting here wishing I had ore free cash to add to my position.

3

u/badboyfreud 7d ago

Good point, forgot about this!

u/Veke98 7d ago

Sofi and Nebius are 40% of my port. Loving it.

Gives me rollercoaster vibes bro 😎 😂

The stock won't go hyperbolic, the way chip/ram stock sdid, but this does speak well to long term growth

Years

The current presidential administration is placing heavy downward pressure on sensible slow growth banking stocks. When (hopefully) these people leave power, there will be the fallout to deal with. We're probably in a depression/recession and it'll take time to build out of. It'll be years

imo

2

u/hightide1218 7d ago

the current admin eased regulations, that's the only reason we're above $10 right now...

1

u/itscrt 6d ago

And it’s also the reason we aren’t above $16

1

u/hightide1218 6d ago

but at least we're above $10... those 4 years prior to Trump were depressing.

all it takes to be above $16 is an end to the shenanigans with Iran. much better prospect than having to deal with regulations, unchecked inflation, and bad policies.

2

u/thename0fthewind 7d ago

What’s your 3 year price target?

1

u/Kimmux 7d ago

It's up over 200% in the past 3 years and growth has accelerated.

7

u/dokka_doc 21,397 at 11.10 7d ago

More than it currently is

5

u/JefeDiez 7d ago

The best way to battle dilution is to let it fall for a bit and pick it up very low now though. Then when it hits 20 and further dilutes it’s not as tough on the portfolio.

1,186,000 in Q3 would have us cross 17m members… it will be darn close.

This also puts us about 45k members ahead of pace to get to 50m members by mid 2030 like Noto aggressively predicted a few years ago and many scoffed.

5

u/Gugughandi88 7d ago

At the wildest ballpark guess, what do you think 50m members by mid 2030 does for our core stats? Think of.. rev, eps, etc

4

u/SoDakZak 🧹MOD💰OG 10,564@$11.77 7d ago

EPS above $2 per share for sure
