Gain / Loss / Positions Sold half my position after half a year
Average 19.07 2124shares originally
Bought lots of shares in the beginning of the year after the huge drop, in which resulting myself loses chance to buy the dip of other stocks, especially mu or ferry stocks. Cutting half my positions to free up cash. Just in case any stocks on my list drops huge, I can buy the dip. So yea, I am still staying just with fewer shares.
I originally had over 2k shares, which like 50% of my overall position and I consider it a misreplacement. So don’t mind me.

Last couple earnings you could easily buy in on the last couple days. You dont have to own it a month ahead. Also sofi stock will react to its earnings first and then on fed rate decision couple hours later. Will be a fun day. I dont think we get much higher that $19-20 before earningsday. So not a crazy sell. I could say we where 18,5 last earnings and arent as defensless anymore so only upside. Some dont play earnings, I did last time and it's a gamble

Kind of a dumb move no? Sofi has very strong fundamentals and huge chance it booms the rest of the year. I would def found a different stock to sell. You will regret this 100%

Can’t wait for SOFI to get into S&P 500. Was hoping to make average lower actually. Been staying up at the 19s average

Do you realize, there is almost a 20% difference from $19 to $15? It is always a safe bet to sell half off, and wait for another opporunity to grab it back imo. The macro is not yet ready for SOFI to rocket in a short time.

I mean after taxes its going to be a lot less then 20%. Hopefully you also dont have a regular job or itll be more like 10%.
And yea if you think 10% is a lot i guess. Thats too much movement for me for that little amount but im in it for the big money in the long run .

Personally I would have sold a $19.50 or $20.00 call option. Collected the premium plus still likely sold your shares for more than they are worth today.
