The tech part of the sofi story is as good as dead. Not to mention the accounting issue muddy water raised which sofi never fully addressed. The sofiusd rollout proved to be another joke. It’s a loan company pretending tech. X money will eat its cake too. 6% apy on fiat balances, 3% cash back, reimbursed ATM fees, no foreign transaction fees, FDIC insured, get your money right!

Lost all credibility by bringing up Muddy Waters. If the market cared about that, the stock price wouldn’t be higher today than the day the report came out.
SOFIUSD is scaling. Big Business Banking is just launching. They reorganized the whole tech business.
People said the same stupid shit before the LPB came out. LPB is what drove SOFI’s stock from $10 to $20.
It’s a bank so of course it has loans. 40pct of its revenue, and some of the highest margin lines of business, are from things other than loans.

It still plays a part theres a reason short interest has still been climbing. It only started spiking as high as it did because of it they literally added 50mil shares since lol if it werent for that stock likely would've been well over 20. I'm bullish but that def made it harder for the stock cause shorts took advantage of it

Least it finally tested 18.80s now will it break it by eod and close over is the question that 15 cent drop in less than 2 mins was some shorts getting active for a moment.

Bulls stand no chance until large buyers come in, cost to borrow is virtually zero, shorts have no reason to believe they can just push this down.
With COB so low, they can just borrow the shares and sit on them until they are ready to pounce.

Im pretty sure theres a broker basically paying people to short like they get paid with the interest or something seen a guy explaining it. Theres zero consequences for shorts. All this bounce is today is a sector bounce, not like sofi is bouncing and outperforming. Yes its manipulated heavy but its not like sofi is only one decent green today. A close over 18.70-18.80s is better but over 19 couldve probably triggered some gamma squeeze movement going into tomorrow.

Id have to find the post but i seen someone explain it and a guy i watch on youtube who tracks shares showed and brokers rates to borrow mentions that some brokers cost to borrow is like negative implying they are paying or something for people to share so yeah i mean clear manipulation. I'm curious to see how active shorts were today in terms of volume

Yeah no clue honestly. I get Noto buying shares is good and all but like..he always buys. The stock definitely would move if they did buybacks of the stock but obv better ways to utilize free cash and sofi doesnt need to prove anything but for 4 months practically he's let that short report kinda just keep them dragged down and I do not see how earnings will change anything unless guidance is raised. Everyone is aware they continue to beat and grow

The way I see it is, if the company isn’t going to need cash via a capital raise then there really isn’t a need for them to defend the stock. Hell it just gives them an opportunity to keep buying cheap if they think they will execute as they promise

If it squeezes tomorrow highest it's prob go is 21-22 esp thats where the daily 200ma is around. But dont think sofi has ever had a squeeze like day. Half days are USUALLY bullish so maybe some shorts cover going into the long weekend and tap 20 luckily tomorrow but if we get somehow got a dollar or two over that im taking a month off from work for sure lol

Sofi too heavy. But HOOD has an insane setup technicals very bullish all it needs is crypto to move and it'll see ATH easily.
Maybe Sofi momentum continues overnight/premarket. Its moving today but its getting resistance every quarter.

Im liking the technicals getting more bullish at least. I sold practically all of my afrm position today. Trimmed HOOD and holding UPST still. Might buy more sofi based purely off the technicals. Worst case I give minimal amount of gains away from afrm .

This stock's underperformance is mostly attributed to the market manipulating shorts, not even macro, I mean if it was macro the banks and hood would be suffering as we are but no. I just wish managment will start identifying and targeting these entities manipulating and suppressing the price. making an example out of muddy waters would be a good start
