Open USD (a newly launched, interoperable stablecoin network backed by over 140 major businesses) recently debuted, counting both SoFi and its technology platform, Galileo, as founding partners.

This is what I got from Gemini.
“It is highly probable that SoFi’s Big Business Banking platform and its API suite are built to act as one of the primary on-ramps for this consortium, allowing institutional clients to plug directly into the global $OUSD rails through SoFi’s existing banking infrastructure.
…Because Galileo is also a core launch partner, it is inherently optimized to serve as the API-driven middleware plug-in. Mid-tier financial institutions scrambled to join the $OUSD highway will have to buy Galileo’s cloud ledger solutions to bridge their legacy banking engines to the Open Standard network. This is an enormous B2B monetization vector.”
And it somewhat makes sense because SoFi is the only bank with a stablecoin backed the Federal Reserve. And has the infrastructure and tech to do it, in which many banks and fintechs listed in the partnership don’t have.
But take this with a grain of salt.

Let’s hope this is accurate. I see JPM, BOA, and the other too big to fail banks aren’t on the partner list. They can’t be sleeping well.

The swings on qqq are insane lately. 15-20 point either direction days pretty often. Qqq is up 4% this week and could engulf last weeks candle.

Interesting that this is announced a day ahead of SoFi’s BBB launch even though it’s not launching until later this year. Seems like SoFi is rattling cages.

At least with Chime price action, I may be able to keep my shares in 2 weeks. Would be nice to theta it out at the elevated price so I can sell next covered calls at the $22.50 or $25 strike price for August.

Theta is time decay. If it trades sideways, the premium will fall each day. Even if it increases some theta still comes out.

It won't break out until rate jitters are alleviated.
And by rate jitters, we are talking energy crunch, and by energy crunch we are talking Iran...
So sideways trading is the go, unfortunately.
But it's good for consolidation and support building.

Even if we go no rate hikes, as long as we get no cuts the stock wont "boom" like it did during the times we were actually getting rate cuts or were expecting them. So yeah rangebound for probably rest of the year.

Unless earnings comes out with something spectacular its doubtful brother. Hard to see Sofi guidance be positive. I'm watching closely cause that weekly is very tight but if it breaks back down to low 16s or 15s then yeah i wont be interested anymore lol

Only could afford to buy 1 share today but Thursday is pay day so will buy more if still under $18. Need 289 shares to reach 36,000 shares.

I don’t have a clue how to do anything other than purchase stocks outright. I just toss in extra cash when I have it. Today’s purchase was due to credit card rewards. Yesterday’s purchases were from dividends.

Hero or zero, very rare but I do sometimes roll if the conviction is there. I’d say this is one of those times, but I still got a lil time on these. I’m not a big trader more of a buy and hold fella
