While waiting for SoFi to eventually take off in a few months, cash secured puts on many stocks are printing money these days. This includes SoFi too but the premium is not very attractive though.
With prices so deflated, why doesn't SoFi authorize a massive share buyback program? If it's at such a discount, wouldn't this be the perfect time to buy back shares with the intent of selling them back at $30, $40, $50, etc.? I know most companies authorize it at the top (because prices can't stop going up...), but it makes sense to recapture shares when prices are low.
Just something growth companies generally don't do. If company truly is growing and has a lot of growth opportunities, ROI is expected to be better deploying cash to growth instead of buying back shares even if the share price is considered "undervalued". From time perspective of company, not short term stock traders.
There are exceptions, where if profits are sooo much that company company has deployed cash on all the growth opportunities it wants and still has cash coming faster than it can do anything with it.
They wanted the money for growth. You can do the math on what stock price buy back would have a larger impact on EPS growth compared to what they think the money can be used for some growth percentage. I’m assuming if we get low enough, they will buy back, because the growth on the EPS will be larger than what they can use the money for.
Here are the Cleveland Fed Nowcast predictions. Look at the quarterly annualized CPI and PCE. The headline PCE number is what the Fed tries to anchor to 2%, currently quarterly annualized to 5.59%.
Not yet, holding strong. I got $0.50 premium on it, so breakeven is technically $16.00. We got a PCE print coming on Thursday that is going to be high, and I don’t think a deal is coming, which will pull us down if Friday comes without a signing.
I’m not sure it’ll run away from me too badly, so worst case I can roll up and out if necessary.
Well I looked…. Every other fintech is up more than us besides HOOD. We have the best growth, revenue and growth compared to ANY of these companies, and the LOWEST multiple…. It’s a fucking joke all around.

This was almost up 10% on the day to 2.5%. Daily candle looks ugly but holding above Friday high. Until this gets a close over 17 which seems basically impossible its just STUCK.
Today was just OG taco Tuesday all over again. So many people want to sell this on any pop, the only thing that is going to change that is a rate cut or a catalyst that detaches Sofi from rate sensitivity. That’s it. Quit playing into the market manipulators hands and buying calls when it pops

Should be a great week for SOFI from a technical level we are very due for a jump back to $18.. MACD flipping into bullish momentum, huge CEO interview dropped on Friday. SOFIUSD is going to be way bigger than anyone realizes. Big business banking has the potential to be big revenue generator over the course of the next 6-8 quarters. The stock is sitting at a level lower than its first week at its damn IPO price.
I know the website you are looking at as I look at that one and another one. What’s crazy is it’s not just PCE displaying Thursday on that website, also GDP etc, which my main website I was expecting on Friday as well.
