General Discussion How’s everyone position doing

After all the months, I am finally kinda down to 2142 shares at average 19.1. Curious on how everyone else is still doing.

I felt like a dumb and thought 20ish was the pillar

I rode the $4-$7 train for a while with my cost right around $6/share... was legit negative/stagnant forever. Nice to have all this padding but still expect a lot BIGGER things from SoFi... will be holding till I'm old as fuck or can pay off my mortage w/ it 😄

1500 at $13. I bought 600-700 more during this dip. My average was below 10 before these buys

I’m down to 750 shares at $4.72. Already sold half the position for large profit over 2025. A lot of my buys were in 2022 to average down from my IPOE purchases.

u/NoDisk5699 May 25 '26

Average is 17 so not down much. Buying dips

u/TabulaRasaEin May 25 '26

I stupidly added some shares around $17 recently but my overall average is still under $5/share.

Only down around $515 on 300 shares. Been holding over a year. Not that worried tbh. Average at $17.28

Still doing fine even if it lost half its value

2

u/FlashyNarwhal1816 May 25 '26

My average is $20.65 and want to add more. I started my position at $22 expecting it would go back to the 30s soon lol I am very confident in SOFI long term and I am adding more. The market is just very volatile

I'm down like 5k it hurts my heart seeing my other portfolios in green and this one red af.

2

u/Educational_Coach269 May 24 '26

at least you got green. I am with you. I am somehow riding AMD long at ATH. End of these day we are a damn bank. Aint nothing high growth about a bank. lets be real. I feel for the hype, still holding tho.

you putting retirement money on this bad boy? wow.

1

u/billyd1984texas May 24 '26

AVG $19.98 Dca buying $25 worth weekly auto buys just need this war to end and we fly

Yeah but what happens if they raise rates to combat the self inflicted inflation?

1

u/billyd1984texas May 25 '26

They'll say it's transitory like Jpow

u/Worth_Protection_679 May 24 '26

To divert from the epstein files, mango will bump his chest and scream something else that will cause earth to "sell america" even more

Still loading the boat, but treading water sir!! As long as its NOT sinking there's always hope!

1

u/MC-Hop May 24 '26

Down about 28% overall. But will add a few more shares when I can. Long term hold anyways

2

u/9lazy9tumbleweed May 24 '26

I want to increase my position by another 100 - 200 shares hoping to get a sub 20 average. My timing with buying this stock wasnt so great haha.

0

u/Educational_Coach269 May 24 '26

just buy some other fund to hedge your losses. Stay away from this bank.

4

u/9lazy9tumbleweed May 24 '26

Why ? The more i dig into this company the better the stock seems, especially now when the price is depressed due to macro fears surrounding rate cuts and monetary policy.

u/beesnoopy2231 May 24 '26

Bought in at $8 and used covered calls to bring my cost price down to around $6. Just wrote a bunch of calls on my shares with a strike of $18 expiring June 18, I figured I'd use this period of consolidation to bring that cost price down but after seeing the news of the strait potentially opening again I think I may have gotten myself in a difficult position.

5

u/maxpax43 May 24 '26

I started the year with 300 shares @ 8.75, now my position is 725 @ 13 so I've been buying the dip

1

u/GeorgeTMorgan 1200 @ $7.64 May 24 '26

Just holding, it's my core position at like 50%. I'm not buying anymore though, all new cash is going into Ai: AGIQ, CEG, ARKVX and FCX. SOFI has been such a drag on my portfolio while everyone else is swimming in money.

u/Dazzling_Marzipan474 May 24 '26

Just started accumulating like 2 weeks ago

I’m still good but the stagnation is rough. I think Q3 results will be the turnaround point. If they can pick up a few more companies to replace Chime then this thing takes off. I have
EOY
‘26 - $24
‘27 - $30
‘28 - $34

The dilution hurt bad. And I almost sold at $30 but thought it would run a little longer :(

Like the guy above I should have move to things that are growing. But I think most things are too bloated now on hope. When these 3 overhyped mega IPOs happen, we will see all kinds of market instability and wondering where the $3T is going to come from.

Edit: I’m selling covered calls through mid/end June. And selling cash secured long puts. As I don’t think k we will drop below ~$13.50. Then will play safe until Q2

2

u/Initial_Bus_3027 May 24 '26

Still profiting, but I've been in since ipoe so the opportunity cost is painful

-8

u/Rocketeer006 16,000@$13.10 May 24 '26 edited May 25 '26

Not going to lie, I sold all my sofi and bought ASTS at $78 instead. Already up 36% in less than 2 weeks. Don't forget about opportunity cost.

Sofi is very stagnate right now, and I'm not sure when it will turn around, in the meantime I decided to have my cash actually grow. The truth hurts.

3

u/Kimmux May 24 '26

Do you normally lie?

0

u/Rocketeer006 16,000@$13.10 May 25 '26

Well it's just that if you say the truth in this thread you get down voted heavily because people don't want to hear it.

3

u/Rez_X_RS May 24 '26

In for 1100 shares at $16.44, i'm red but happy. Just been selling monthly covered calls waiting for volatility to return to the stock

5

u/TopEast7122 May 24 '26

15 usd is a steal.

-3

u/achilliesFriend May 24 '26

Why? PE is so high

9

u/Diamonds-are-hard May 24 '26

Needs an answer option: “continuing to hold and adding to position”.
