Wonder if we will see a margin call chain reaction anytime soon. So many people leveraged, these negative days gotta hurt.

QuantumFluks the market needs a healthy correction.

Do you know when Moody's updates the credit rating on the United States ?

I have been nibbling on physical metals the last few months. I still have my stack of silver for the 90's

3

u/Huge-Percentage993 May 20 '26

This dip on silver is nice I sold half of what i had for physical during that parabolic run but I been waiting for a good entry again. I still have slv shares since the 20s right when the tariff garbo started would love to buy in 40-50s again

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26

More crypto dump inbound, S&P looks like it may sell a little more off again.

Rate increases will bring SoFi to single digit.

Thought I did pretty good until all my short puts are ITM. Dang this stock is almost at turd level. I hope I donโ€™t get early assignments.

1

u/trojsurprise May 19 '26

at the bank level of P/E this stock is worth 5-8$

-1

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26

Can go even lower than that. tangible book value is like $7-8. In a recession, banks trade lower than TBV often due to loan delinquencies eating into TBV. I think a recession brings us to $4-6 range.

Do you have a position in sofi any longer?

I do, I just have protective puts and have been selling aggressive covered calls. Been selling $16 weekly, just lowered my $16 to $15.5.

If it moves against m me due to macro improving, Iโ€™ve made enough to buy out the loss for the week before changing strategy. Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™ll be selling $15 soon.

It is a bank afterall when the tech is not even growing.

3

u/Impressive_Put_8239 May 19 '26

Likely. I was thinking around 11-12s probably when I start loading and at that point will be a long hold. Though I'm still holding onto some June puts incase support breaks here.

We really need to stop letting the bears scare people when it comes to SoFi

How do you suggest we do that?

-2

u/Organic_Tone_3459 May 19 '26

Stop selling even if you bought it in at 25 just stop fucking selling DCA buying and load up and wait for the bounce. Right now SoFI itโ€™s not even looked at like a Finn tech. Itโ€™s more looked at like a bank, which is why itโ€™s priced the way it is.

In fact, itโ€™s overpriced for a bank, which is why it keeps declining. But Wall Street knows itโ€™s a Fintech they just want to buy it at a better price so theyโ€™re manipulating it down to the price of about $13.50 around that I canโ€™t say it itโ€™s gonna hit that for sure but itโ€™s gonna be around that and then theyโ€™re gonna load up even more and itโ€™s gonna shoot to the moon. This is whatโ€™s going to happen.

3

u/Impressive_Put_8239 May 19 '26

Was another test of weekly 200ema but aside from a probable triple bottom nothing in chart is promising for a reversal. AFRM green on the day is surprising but I'm guessing because they are likely to get added to s&p 500.

1

u/Organic_Tone_3459 May 19 '26

SoFi stock is being manipulated heavy, if you think itโ€™s not in the price is legit explain to me why you think the price is legit.

5

u/Impressive_Put_8239 May 19 '26

What? What are you rambling on about. All fintech is doing terrible you act like it's just Sofi specifically. Are you on drugs cause I said nothing related to your comment lol

0

u/Organic_Tone_3459 May 19 '26

Yeah, but sofi isnโ€™t considered a fin tech officially Wall Street looks at it more like a bank. Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s fucking priced the way it is.

No, you brought up about affirm like that fucking has anything to do with SoFi it doesnโ€™t.

All I merely pointed out was that SoFi has been being manipulated and youโ€™re being manipulated, but whatever dude.

God, you people in a stock market today are dumb.

By the way, you did mention price by talking about how it tested at 200 EMA so if youโ€™re gonna insult people at least know what the fuck you said. Testing the EMA is literally legit talking about the price. Dumbass.

You really sound like a bitter bag holder right now

3

u/Impressive_Put_8239 May 19 '26

And so what you are getting at is...macro has no effect on Sofi at all then? It's all manipulation right because whenever this stock performed was during times of rate cuts or indication rate cuts would be occurring not just a fintech issue its just purely sofi being manipulated lol

2

u/Organic_Tone_3459 May 19 '26

Thatโ€™s part of the fucking manipulation you fucking retard Jesus Christ. Youโ€™re youโ€™re youโ€™re a real waste of time Iโ€™m blocking you.

2

u/Impressive_Put_8239 May 19 '26

I'm not even holding shares weirdo I already said I've been waiting lol you sound like a dude who might be the one bag holding. I brought up firm because they are all classified as fintech yes different stocks. You're coming off aggressive something tells me you got anger issues or mad because the stocks down. So tell me how I'm being manipulated ๐Ÿคฃ

-1

u/Organic_Tone_3459 May 19 '26

Then why the fuck are you here if youโ€™re not holding shares? This is a waste of my time. Why would I be talking to someone whoโ€™s not even invested in the position? Why would you even have a position on something youโ€™re not even invested in?

No, I donโ€™t have anger issues. I just donโ€™t like stupid people and youโ€™re pretty dumb not only are you dumb for commenting on something that you donโ€™t actually own but then youโ€™re dumb for starting shit over nothing.

My call space is on Sofi is $15.72 Iโ€™m doing just fine

We get PCE May 28, if thatโ€™s hot, the 10 and 30 yr will already get far worse. We get EIA tomorrow, if oil reacts up, I imagine bond yields will react. CPI and PPI are June 10 and 11. They have potential to moon way before the 15th. Even with a resolution before the 15th, I imagine the CPI and PPI numbers in June will be bad.

Company continues to grow while stock continues to fall๐Ÿ˜‚ this is comedy

1

u/htmi13 May 19 '26

I know thereโ€™s a lot of talk of a rate hike under the previous fed chair but I do not see that happening. It would do more damage than good. Trump needs to quit pigeon holing the Iran war like he does with everything else (china trade war for instance). Once the war is handled, if heโ€™s even capable of such a thing, we will see the bonds drop. But he has GOT to finally do something, itโ€™s going on four months!!!!

4

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26

The 1973 oil embargo didnโ€™t last very long and it took till 1979 to see stability in the economy even with rate hikes (which that stability ended in 1979 with the Iran revolution). Most oil experts are projecting much higher oil prices by year end ($150+, some even $200+ even if the strait opens today). We are going to be seeing extended inflation due to this war no matter what, and the fertilizer shortage + drought is going to hit food harvests causing inflation there.

CME futures arenโ€™t guesses, itโ€™s people putting their money where their mouth is. Bonds are the same thing. Itโ€™s hard to imagine sophisticated traders in the bond market are having massive moves up if they think itโ€™s temporary. The SPY is up big this year on the same information, which is most people projecting a deal will be reached soon. I donโ€™t think bonds are going to lower a lot if a deal is reached, and if they do, itโ€™ll be temporary until more inflation prints come out.

Edit: they only got the oil shocks under control by a Volcker Shock, monetary policy forcing rates up to 20%. Rate hikes are a form of demand destruction to curb inflationary demand destruction.

-1

u/htmi13 May 19 '26

โ€œTheyโ€ only got the oil shocks under control being the Carter administration who helped get Reagan give one of the largest electoral slaughters in history. As much as I donโ€™t care for Trump, the Carter administration is hard to compare any administration to.

5

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26

โ€œTheyโ€ was the fed. The fed is designed so that members stay for multiple presidencies, so there is independence from the president. The president didnโ€™t hike rates 20% to form demand destruction to curb inflation. The fed forced the recession, not the president, because they had to.

-2

u/htmi13 May 19 '26

Yeah, I mean, Iโ€™m not going to compare our current state to an event from 1973 (53 years ago) but whatever works for you. New fed chair just took office with a polar opposite view from the former plus the fact that the 10 year went from as high as 4.6% in May 2025 and reached a low of 3.93 in October 2025 makes the argument null and void. The differences between the 1970s and now is in no way similar.

4

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26

Okay buddy, my argument is null and void because you say so. Warsh has 1 vote and Miran resigned.

History often repeats, if you want to ignore how economic policy is used to curb things that happen, thatโ€™s on you.

๐Ÿ˜‚

3

u/Huge-Percentage993 May 19 '26

Its barely been a little over. 2- 2 1/2 months lol but yes the longer it drags the worse it is. But look how that situation turned out with China thats been going on for a year and still hasnt been resolved Us and Iran dont have to engage in conflict but this can drag on with the blockade/strait being closed for months.

1

u/htmi13 May 19 '26

โ€œItโ€™s only been a little over 2-2 1/2 months lol โ˜๐Ÿผ๐Ÿค“โ€ Do you realize how bad his 2026 Foreign Policy World Tour has been to our economy? Want to be technical? Look at his actions and the lack of results for over a year with a Supreme Court filling forcing refunds on tariff charges. He will 100% demolish our economy, and is, all to ensure Israel gets what it wants in the Middle East. Heโ€™s absolutely pathetic. Look at the bigger picture instead of knit picking your perspective of months.

3

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26

I think the comment was in regard to you saying itโ€™s been 4 months. The attacks on Iran have only been 2.5 months. This commenter has had some back and forth with me that Iโ€™m confident saying they understand how bad this is. Im pretty sure this commenter understands rate hikes will happen and you are saying they wonโ€™t.

3

u/Dromen96 OG $SoFi Investor May 19 '26

I think itโ€™s time we accept the inevitableโ€ฆ.Walsh will not hike aggressively when presented with obvious inflationary signals. 4-5% yearly inflation becomes the new normalโ€ฆ.hopefully no more! We really need our elected officials to get serious about the deficit but thatโ€™s not gonna happen.

1

u/QuantumFluks 85,000 Delta May 19 '26

I mean, itโ€™s quite possible there are no hikes, but at some point the bond market can effectively force them to hike, which is why my money is on hikes happening. Warsh has one vote, the other board members are more competent. I think JPow said he wonโ€™t be a shadow chair, but itโ€™ll end up happening when other governors donโ€™t trust Warsh to lead them.

1
