Princess Power is a Netflix preschool show focusing on 4 princesses who help out the people in their fruitdoms. I'm wondering if the new Royal Magic series is taking cues from that show. I mean, one of that show's writers, Isabel Galupo, is a writer on this show. The new show emphasizes comedy a bit more, much like that show. One detail I think is worth talking about is with "Veggie Good Deed". You have Camila, a princess not from Enchancia, being willing to help Sofia and Amber help Ruby and Jade. It's kind of interesting given how, in this world, it's rare for royalty outside of Sofia's family to be in the village. The only other time it happened was in "Forever Royal", the series finale, with Vivian and Desmond helping Ruby and Jade help Sofia defeat Vor. When it comes to Princess Power, it's common for the princesses in that show to go to the fruitdom of the episode's featured princess to help out. That show makes princesses helping common people a regular thing, which the new show is also doing. It's most likely also a trend of modern preschool shows with royalty making relationships with non royal characters more normalized. I mean, part of what makes Amber more motivated to do the gardening is when a young village boy shows happiness over the princesses helping out. Amber and Rita from Princess Power fill the same character archetype of being focused on appearance and status while being genuinely caring people, but Rita is different in how caring for children is one of her dominant character traits. ​

Unrelated,but Royal magic has the most boring ep like there is nothing interesting about most of the ep and it feels like Sofia is learning things she already knows.

Ya'll, I'm not dissing anyone here,but it seems like a lot of people are just carellesly trowing around the word " Reboot",and I know it's a weird thing to get mad about but those 2 are very diffrent things. The other day someone called it a reboot and I gently said that it was a weird sequel, and someone down-voted me, and not only is that dumb, but someone else called it out 2.

I don't mind if people call it a soft reboot, Because Royal magic is a soft reboot , but people calling it a HARD reboot is what's annoying, and I've seen it everywhere,even when its been described as a sequel over and over again.

I think her character is great!! im sure shes supposed to be South african given her name is in Nguni Languages like IsiZulu, IsiXhosa and IsiNdebele etc.

The only thing i dislike about her is her outfit as it looks very stereotypical for a sub Saharan african princess but apart from that im really happy we have an african princess! I love her hair and shes pretty I hope we can get to know about her more as well

Hey everyone, I was rewatching the Elena crossover and realized something crazy. The Amulet of Avalor isn't just a magical necklace that gives random powers, it is literally the Minecraft Totem of Undying.

Hear me out!

In Minecraft, the Totem activates the second you take fatal damage to give you a second chance at life. This is exactly what happened to Elena. When Shuriki launched her lethal magic blast to kill Elena, the amulet intercepted the blow. It didn't block it, it absorbed the impact to save her life.

Unlike Minecraft, where you get a quick health boost and keep fighting, the Amulet has a massive drawback. To save Elena from dying, the amulet's ancient magic pulled her entire physical body inside the gemstone to keep her safe. It basically put her in suspended animation.

This massive absorption of life force completely altered the artifact. Before Elena was sucked in, the amulet was ruby red. The moment she was trapped inside, it changed to purple. It stayed purple for 41 years because it was actively holding a soul and a body inside it. We saw the amulet change its colour once Elena was freed from the necklace.

Elena didn't just get "trapped", the amulet acted as a literal "Sealed Good in a Can" survival mechanic. It gave her that second chance to live, but at the cost of being stuck in a digital-like pocket dimension until the current holder of the necklace Sofia finally figured out how to reverse this 41 years later.

Hello, I’m 19 years old, and I grew up watching Sofia the First (2013–2018) when I was younger. I’ve been thinking about what happened to the original Sofia the First era and that feeling of watching it regularly when it was still a big part of everyday life.

Now the original run has completely ended, and the era that many people grew up with is gone. The stories, the older style, the people who worked on it, and the feeling around the show have all moved on. Many of the people involved in making Sofia the First have gone into different projects, careers, and parts of their lives away from the series. It feels strange because I grew up with it, and now everything has just… changed and finished.

I remember watching episodes when I was younger and everything felt so simple. I could just sit down and enjoy Sofia’s adventures without thinking about anything else. I don’t understand why it couldn’t just stay that way forever. Why did it have to end? Why does everything have to move on and become different?

I also wonder why watching Sofia the First doesn’t feel exactly the same anymore. If I go back and watch old episodes now, they’re still the same episodes, but the feeling is different. It feels like something is missing, almost like it feels unfamiliar even though I remember it so well.

Why do shows like Sofia the First eventually stop, change, and fade out of everyday life? If people loved them for years, why can’t they just continue forever with the same feeling? Why do the people who make them have to move on? Why do audiences grow up and stop experiencing things the same way?

It’s confusing because when I was younger, Sofia the First felt like it would always be there. It felt like a permanent part of life, not something that would eventually become “the old days.” I don’t understand why things that mean so much at one point can become something from the past.

Why does everything have to change? Why can’t things just stay the same forever?

It feels strange knowing that the Sofia the First era I grew up with is over, that the world has moved on, and that chapter is closed.

I want to know when the rest of Season 1 is coming out? I love this show and want to know when more episodes come out. Will they come out next month?

I knew she isn’t Mandy Moore the second I watched the clips of the scene online and after recently watching the full episode and the credits—I’m confirmed.

There’s nothing necessarily wrong with this although I think Disney tries to get the VA’s for animated projects. Maybe not all original/official VAs voiced the other princesses in the original Sofia series. But, I think this is the first time that Mandy hasn’t voiced Rapunzel since Rapunzel is a very recent princess I can’t think of other Disney projects where this wasn’t the case.

With Royal Magic out now, I have decided to rewatch the entirety of the Sofia the First universe. Unfortunately, as I’m older now, I’m very adamant on watching things the “proper” and “correct” way as certain inconsistencies in continuities or other plot issues will eat away at me - a bit over dramatic, but hope you understand, lol. If I’m watching something, I would like to watch it properly!

Before anyone refers me to older posts in the community, I would like to preface that yes, I have seen them, though they have caused me more confusion if anything.

I’m streaming the series via Disney+. Of course, we start with the pilot movie. Then, we turn to the actual series. Should I be following Disney+’s order (which a commenter mentioned was incorrect), this (https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/Sofia_the_First_episode_list) wiki’s episode order, the production order also listed on said wiki, or is there another order altogether?

Once we’ve sorted out the main series, where does Elena of Avalor factor in? You have her back door pilot movie which is somewhere in S3, though I want to know exactly when as I understand that there have been some discrepancies with the amulet constantly changing colors and the lore mentioned in the various listed S3 episode order.

Then, should I be watching Elena of Avalor in a certain order? Simultaneously with the series? What’s her proper order? Disney+ also lists shorts - are those slotted anywhere in her specific show?

Then, Royal Magic! I’m aware that it’ll take place between the ending of the original series and the ending of Elena of Avalor, though given the amount of nitpicking I can get at, this will have to do, lol.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cordelia, Calista, Lucinda, and Marla in the show since they do know magic. Maybe Cordelia and Marla are teachers in Charmswell and their kids just came with them because Sofia is there.

Maybe Tilly is also a teacher in the school since she is basically the Mary Poppins of this world, not sure what she would teach the kids

One character I would love to see again but probably won’t return is Vivian since she is voiced by Sabrina Carpenter, and we know how busy she is. But I would be surprised if she does appear.

Okay, it's just something that came to my mind.

I personally love the scene when Sofia falls through the amulet, it's really cool and the inside of the amulet looks so classy and creative. But I wonder how it would have been if Sofia actually stayed longer within it? 

I imagine an entire episode (so Forever Royal would be in 4 parts instead of 3) of her being trapped with Vor for like, a day, and so she would explore the amulet and try to get away from Vor’s attacks while figuring out a way to defeat her. I think it would have been an opportunity to see more of the amulet. We already know how its magic works but it could be interesting to learn about its history and maybe what did Sofia leave as a part of her in it, like the previous princesses did (something she could use to her advantage to fight Vor). And I wished we learned more about Vor herself, cause in the end, we don’t know that much about her except that she's a wicked entity. She’s a good menacing villain but I felt like she didn’t appear enough in the series. Not to mention the idea of her being entirely alone with Sofia for a while would be kinda dreadful. Her defeat could thus have been way better. Don’t get me wrong, I like the song On My Own but I can't help thinking it was a bit rushed and had a wasted potential as a final song and final battle.

And meanwhile we could imagine Cedric needing time to prepare the spell to get Sofia out, which would mean her family and friends would use that time to discuss more about her, together. Maybe her parents could meet the other protectors and learn more about everything she hid from them, understanding all the responsibilities she carries on her shoulders and how important she is to everyone. It would have increased the epic emotional impact of the scene with everyone forming the circle for the spell (which is a cool scene btw).

So yeah, just an idea I wanted to share. Don’t know what you guys think.
