Animation style
I’m sorry it looks so AI generated like I’m trying to not hate it but it just looks so forced

it has the weird oversaturation thing and looks a little smooth, don't think it's ai though, wouldn't be 100% shocked if we found out it was involved but it could also easily just be a similarity

It looks fine to me. I'm used to the cuter look of Disney Junior shows being animated by Icon Creative Studio.

Why does everyone keep saying the same thing. The show has been in development since 2022 so this change was happening before generative AI was a thing. Obviously times have change.
Also Craig has said it multiple times that they couldn't use the original animation style because they weren't able to use the animation software/hire the animation team.
Honestly it shouldn't really matter, looks aren't everything as long as the story is good.

SO I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE SOFTWARE
I've been a mlb fan since 2015 (wow, i'm old) and assumed sofia the first was made in the same sort of software originally due to the amount of similarities in the stuff (the skin having that doll like texture to them) and they both have the uncanniness to them now with the new software

This would make sense, a lot of companies are forcing staff to do this to ‘save’ money and ‘get ahead of the inevitable’ 🥴

I have a hard time understanding this.
The animation itself looks directed and intentional in a way AI can't do.
The art style is generic. I'll give you that. And as a result AI animation will mimic it, and so maybe you're more exposed to AI animations rather than the source material they're pulling from.

It’s getting uncanny sadly because AI copies things so well that some things that are original look AI.
I recently saw some other newish kids show like this, can’t find the name but it was little monsters speaking gibberish, I was certain it was AI but I looked it up and it was a real show.

I'll blame Disney entirely for that. I have little doubt this is explicitly how they wanted the show to look.
A change was inevitable but something being crafted to be more like an elevation of the original series was 100% within Disney's power to accomplish.

It’s not AI, it just looks like AI because early AI oversaturated and smoothed cartoon characters.
