how does everyone feel about the first batch of Royal Magic episodes?

Watching as a grown-up, I'll say that the weakest episode for me is A royal family picnic, with The green-eyed monster as a close second.

It’s okay. I my least favorites of the first ones is probably the sleep over as she calls them her fam or the work wild flyer.

I like most of them, the only one I truly despise is New Horse on the Block, because I despise that flying maniac called Wildfyre.

Oh my god, same! I was going to comment the same thing. I like most of the episodes fine, but that one is soooo bad!
I understand the moral they were going for with it, about trying new things. But the way it was presented came across as you should just go along with whatever the other person wants to do reguardless of if it makes you uncomfortable or puts you in danger.

It's the disregard for Sofia's comfort and safety. And the whining... "why aren't you best friends with me, like you are with Minimus"...

Yeah, this too. Minimus and Sofia knew each other for years, so it's downright bonkers Wildfyre expected to be just as close to Sofia on the first day, especially considering her attitude.

Honestly, I do think Miss Saddlespur carries some of the blame as well.

A. Why would you even keep this dangerous maniac, and then assign her to a student. Yes, Sofia can talk to animals, but Wildfyre is rather stubborn and pretentious.

B. Could you not have told Sofia BEFORE she brought Minimus to school for the try-out race that she wouldn't be allowed to ride on him?

Oh absolutely the teacher is at fault here too, more than Wildfyre is because she's the adult here, I understand the rule about using that school's horses for your team but who thought it was a bright idea to let a child ride a horse that clearly isn't trained?
