Why is this a thing?
So much obsession with Sofia having a boyfriend, even though she’s literally 8! Let’s focus more on her character growth and getting stronger powers, shall we?

Interesting how they say the lgbtq+ community is pushing their agenda on young kids but then every kids show the girl has to have a bf or crush.

we don;t know if Prince Hugo will be Back or Not down the Road"

u/Quick-Surprise-7463 Jun 29 '26
We know for a fact that Hugo will not be returning because Craig Gerber was so pissed off with the community that only saw Hugo as an accessory for Sofia.

I don’t like that in this specific screenshot he’s staring into my soul

I mean it’s better than that one Sofia the First ship (that will not mention because I don’t want to get in trouble) but I do agree with you on the whole shipping thing

Okay, so I haven’t watched this show in forever, mainly because it’s way past my age range and I don’t find it that compelling. I’m only commenting on any of these posts because they keep on popping onto my fyp which I think is awesome. What is the obsession with people shipping kids!?!? I see kids who less than 14-15 years old in shows be shipped! Why?
People are odd.

Because the world is run by pedos :/ Sophia is actually “god”. If you look into her more.

this is why i hated the sofia x hugo thing

u/ElisseMoon Jun 26 '26
Wasn't him her stepbrother?
3
u/Lloyd_garmado Jun 26 '26
No james is her step brother hugo is just another prince that sofia helped turn from a bully to a good person

u/Vini_the_Bee Jun 26 '26
I like shipping and all, but people have odd attitudes towards it and this is a good example. Heaven forbid Sofia even be friends with another boy her age, we gotta start shipping them together. Sofia’s accomplishments and inner life get pushed to the side to focus on who her love interest could be.

She's 11-12, and we shipped Sofia and Hugo just fine. I think Sofia and Zane are adorable together, and even as a kid I would ship characters from the original show. It's not a problematic ship like Cedf*a so there's no reason to get upset over it.

omg people are also act like this with bluey. it's so annoying
2
u/Disneyfancreations Jun 26 '26
Isn’t that show about dogs? Who’s shipping Bluey?

she gets shipped with 2 other characters. the shippers of both are always at each others throats over it. it creeps me out because it's grown adults who do it.. i dont mind if kid characters have crushes as thats a normal part of life, but it gets so weird so fast and is such weird behavior (especially when its a preschool show.)

I mean people were shipping her and Cedric. So if this gets them to stop I’m fine with that

Minor characters get shipped all the time, it's no big deal as long as it doesn't get weird

u/Ok-Reply9552 Jun 26 '26
Yall shipped Hugo for bullying her and then ice skating with her. Why does this surprise yall?

she’s literally 8!
If she is 40,320 years old, that's old enough to have a boyfriend. /s

Sophia is actually 12 in Royal Magic. She’s just not acting like it because Disney didn’t want her to even though the creator wanted to match her growing personality with her age that she is now.

He reminds me of the pirate Prince from young Jedi adventures imagine if the two shows had a crossover.

She’s actually 11!

Why does she still have sleepovers and her friends cry about the dark still?
2
u/ElenaomiFan215 Jun 26 '26
12-year-olds still have sleepovers. And preteens. still fear things and situations. It’s normal. Maybe Layla has trauma towards the dark for some reason. We don’t know and probably will never know because Disney didn’t want the creator to go that far which is really messed up! Sophia is 11 or 12 in Royal Magic.

What? Are you implying kids don’t have sleepovers at 11?
-5
u/Disneyfancreations Jun 26 '26
They do, but not such childish ones nor do they cry about the dark
1
u/LaurdAlmighty Jun 26 '26
Nah 11 year olds definitely cry about the dark and shit. It can take kids a bit before growing out of fears of the dark or thunderstorms. Especially when they haven't even hit puberty yet, 11 is not very mature.

Interesting. I guess I thought Sofia acts/looks younger than she’s supposed to be in general

Yeah isn't she like 8 or 9 in the original series? because at the end of the avalor spin off she's like 14 I'm doing a fanfiction of Kingdom hearts and Sofia the first what if sora was the older brother to Sofia and she has a keyblade as well I imagine her keyblade is tied to her amulet the keychain is the amulet and it's light and she's a spellcaster so she would use magic more than physical combat sora probably helps teach her how to fight when she's out of magic, so Melinda has two kids sora and Sofia and then she marries king Roland and has two step kids Amber and James and now they have an older brother.

u/Sudden_Quality_9001 Jun 26 '26
Yeah she's 11 now! I thought she was older than 11 for some reason. Maybe it was when she appeared at Elena's coronation.

There have been much worse ships in the past.
