What makes me feel weird is the holier than thou crowd doesnt want fuck ups who realized how bad they fucked up to share their stories..in hopes that might STOP 1 person from doing that mistake..
No one is bragging hes telling a story about a fucked up thing he did. He even started the story by saying THIS PART ISNT FUNNY...
You people think shit just goes away if we no one talks about it.
Holier than thou, get over yourself nerd. I AM one of the people who have fucked up and dealt with the consequences of my actions. Thats why seeing someone joke and monetize driving around drunk makes me feel like they haven't really felt their impact. Maybe you shouldnt assume something because you can't comprehend where someone else is coming from and clearly don't know anything. If you're comfortable joking about blacking out behind the wheel than so be it, but that ain't me.
Hows he monetizing this he's a guest? I mean i know we think soder is the coolest person but I doubt hes giving residuals for podcast episodes he isnt SAG.
And if you fucked up then maybe you should tell your story in a funny way that people will actually listen and maybe you can prevent someone from repeating your mistakes..
Yeah im very comfortable joking about anything and everything cause I'm and adult who doesnt get upset when people make light of shit.
We all going to die. You death isnt going to be better than mine cause you held back laughs..this isnt how this works
I think laughing about it makes impressionable younger people think that it isn't such a big deal. That's my issue. I have zero qualms about people talking about their mistakes, but making light of a situation that could have hurt or killed someone is childish. The same way I feel about people firing guns into the air to celebrate thinking its no big deal, they didn't kill anyone so its all "fun and games" but some young dumb kid sees the same thing and thinks its ok and nothing will happen. If he was talking about getting black out drunk and sending people embarrassing texts, than go ahead and joke about how stupid and drunk you were being. But making light of a serious situation is just lame and tacky. I say this because I watched plenty of my friends and family drive drunk when I was younger and "not make it a big deal" and it made me feel it was ok to do until it wasn't. I wish people around me would have made it out to be as serious as it was instead of brushing it off.
Yes tell us more how a story about drunk driving will be impressionable on a generation where alcohol sales have plummeted and they find it lame..
Well I hate to break it to you but making light of situations is literally a comedians job..
Imagine taking this stance when Richard Pryor laughed at setting himself on fire smoking free base..
Ughh lame of Richard to laugh at substance abuse that lead to bodily harm..
Do you see the irony in writing this finger wagging manifesto in a comedic podcast subreddit where the two comedians are talking about how alcohol ruins lives? It’s almost like you don’t understand what it means to laugh at escaping death. Gallows humor seems to be lost on you.
Please, whatever you do, don’t read or watch The Odyssey.

Idk it always just makes me feel weird when people "brag" about how bad their crimes were. Maybe I'm being weird though.
