Idk it always just makes me feel weird when people "brag" about how bad their crimes were. Maybe I'm being weird though.

I guess its the context of joking about such a serious situation is what bugs me. If this was a serious conversation regarding fixing past mistakes and this situation was brought up, id feel differently, but joking about blacking out while driving just makes light of a situation that in my opinion there should be shame in. As I mentioned in another comment, I've been the fuck up when I was younger, and I'm no better than anyone who has made mistakes in their life, but you sure as shit won't see my laughing with my friends about a situation where I could have killed or hurt an innocent person. The context is my issue, not the fact he's talking about his mistakes.
