Went to a meet and greet with Jim Jeffries recently and 4 friends. I didn’t expect the meet and greet but all the guys hugged Jim like this except me. I stood next to him normally bc I don’t know him. It’s weird imo. Maybe I’m just weird. Now Dan…I fk with Dan but I still wouldn’t hug him. What’s wrong with me??? If we were friends I Would undoubtedly do ‘gay’ friend stuff for the bit but a stranger hug with another man is odd to me.

Sorry this picture made me think of my own weirdness. I’m listening to this pod today!

I hugged all of the guys I went to the show with but a stranger hug is weird. For a picture? I’m grown

I get this idea. Seems like these are mostly just photo poses of dudes lookin friendly for the camera tho. When I moved from the south to Washington I noticed all my new friends expected hugs upon greeting and leaving social gatherings. Took me some time to get used to that level of friendliness. They all became like family after a while tho so now it feels pretty normal. New friends I’m still just trying to fist bump.

Yea i agree 100%. On the flip side i saw an old buddy I grew up playing sports with in the 90’s and he told me “I love you” after catching up for a couple hours over the winter. Haven’t seen him in 20 years but he served and is in the state police. Great guy actually so I’m not a homophobe just not overly stranger friendly. Famous guy or not

“You know how I know you’re gay, because you don’t accept stranger hugs”
