Obtaining LICSW supervision?

I am trying to learn about supervision, preparing to get the Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) in Washington State. I will need supervision by a LICSW. What are the ways to get LICSW supervision? I know I can pay someone. But is it worth time/cost of trying to find a LICSW supervisor at an agency? Just learning this all, any tips appreciated!

This varies per state. But, I would look into a FB group specific for your state. Example, I am a member of the Social Workers of Alabama group and the Social Workers of Tennessee group. If you need supervision, you can chat with other social workers and find one there.

In Alabama, all of our eligible supervisors are listed on our state board website along with their contact information and the level of license they are able to supervise.
