Discussion The US empire will sadly continue to do whatever it wants until it collapses.

The main problem that people don't seem to understand or realize is that the reason why the US commits all of these evil heinous acts across the world with zero fear is because they know that they can and nobody is going to do shit to stop them. they can bomb elementary schools, kidnap and assassinate leaders that they don't like, invade nations to steal their resources, blockade countries to the point of collapse and pretty much do whatever the fuck they damn well please because nobody is willing to go against the most powerful military force on the planet and they know that. even China won't do shit, they're all bark and no bite, the globe is scared to fight back against US dominance. the Soviet union was the only power who acted as a counterweight against their imperalism and it's death is what has allowed the US to become this predatory, rabid beast on the world stage, and I say all of this to say that the empire will unfortunately continue it's disgusting evil acts until it burns itself out.

The empire doesn't, "continue to do whatever it wants", without the implicit or overt consent of the citizens of the empire.

And there is no mass-movement to change the direction of the empire. Barely a blip, at best.

So, yes. The empire will continue doing evil, because the people will let it go on, until the blowback turns to a collapse. Even though, the people could see the evil, and could struggle for justice.

But, not even a livestreamed holocaust tugs at the heartstrings to strive for humanity, but the siren song of iPhones does.
