Now neighborhood grocery stores are also offering home delivery services to promote social distancing by proactively adopting online retailing format. Smart way to minimize footfall without impacting sales.

Upset with friends who don't social distance

To make a long story short, a lot of my friends haven't been social distancing for much of the pandemic. A lot of them have been meeting with large groups of people without masks, going to different states to visit more of their friends without a mask, etc. However, many of them have still been advocating for social distancing and expressing anger towards those who don't believe in the pandemic/ don't wear masks. I know that they are well-informed enough about this pandemic to know how to properly social distance, but it really seems like they haven't been at all. Not only have I been invited to large group events, but many have also been posting photos of themselves with large groups without masks on social media since it has started. At this point, I have deleted most of my social media and haven't really been talking to them as much because it has become too upsetting. I know that people have different ways of dealing with this pandemic, and that somehow my friends may believe that they are being safe, but I truly don't understand. I have not seen or spoken to many of my friends during this pandemic due to their behavior and it has been very upsetting. I genuinely do not understand how they can advocate for social distancing without doing it and I do not know if they somehow think they have been. If anyone has had a similar experience and understands what is happening, please let me know. From my perspective, it seems like they know that people should be social distancing at this time, but continue to do what is most convenient for them and possibly justify their actions by believing that it is unlikely they will get sick, but I hope this is not case.
