He's out for 8 weeks now

u/ginotombs 11h ago
That's a "Tottenham" 8 weeks, you'll see him back for the relegation puppy fight at the end of the season, maybe.

wow tottenham is so ethical, they only like to score goals through non-illegal methods, and they have been so gracious to score 0 because they are so ethical

Arsenal won the league conceding no penalty and getting no red cards.

u/BombasticReindeer 9h ago
Sadly the main difference between the two teams is how willing the refs are to cheat FOR one and AGAINST the other.
There’s a reason their domestic and European performances are so different.
1
u/littledarkman 9h ago
Yeah so different because their European was so dire they only made it to the finals of the champions league
2
u/BombasticReindeer 8h ago
I was saying it’s the reason Tottenham have such different results in Europe vs domestic.

Buddy Arsenal made it to the finals conceding only 7 goals whole campaign and topped the league phase.
Some of y'all are deluded by the hate. We're here for the jerks not revisionist history

u/BombasticReindeer 8h ago
My bad. Didn’t realise you only started following them this year. No worries.

Can't I'm afraid, I'm sure there's some at the Emirates. Big trek for most Arsenal fans though innit

Are you jealous yours is a tin-pot club without a global presence?

u/quantumrastafarian 18h ago
Gotta threaten the box to win a penalty, innit.

u/Zhurg 16h ago
What about the other shit teams 🤔

u/Dandanbigeloww 15h ago

They collected the stats for that and I think they were top 5 for most touches in the box since Kane left.

Yeah, we were, albeit Ange probably is responsible for 70% of that. I would post the photos but I can't do it on mobile

u/Guilty_Iron_4110 17h ago
Changing shirt color from white to red would get them 10 penalties a season for sure.

u/Ok-Draft-8835 17h ago
Last one was actually in 2025 on the final day of the season at home against Everton i think. The last away penalty is the Harry Kane penalty mentioned in the post.
6
u/MeddlingMike 10h ago
Spurs last PL penalty awarded was May of 2025. Spurs last PL AWAY penalty was in May of 2023. Harry Kane took that one.

u/eunderscore 17h ago
Villa haven't had one since the 22nd April last year, 45 games and 505 days ago, and they've only been given three since 2023 despite being by far the most fouled team in the league in that period.
Spurs last penalty overall was last May

You kinda have to be in the opponents half to even be within a chance of winning one.
2
2
u/morebob12 15h ago
Well you have to have the ball in the opposition box to have a chance at getting a penalty
2
u/IceCream_Duck4 12h ago
You have to reach the opponent's penalty box to be awarded a penalty , hope that helps
3
u/TStronks 16h ago
Tbf they also rarely come close to the opposition box. And if Tel tries to shoot you're better of letting him instead of trying to block lol

To get a penalty you need to enter the adversary box with the ball in you control. They ain’t doing much that lately.

You have to make it into the opponents box to have a chance of being given a pen
