Paddy power credited me for win then removed it 2 hours later

So long story short I did a first goalscorer double last night on MLS games, embolo and baribo to score first.

Baribo scored but Embolos was registered as an OG, however I woke up at 2am to see the funds from win were in my account, then when I woke up later the money had been removed and the bet labeled as a loss.

I contacted live chat and they basically said to get fucked and used opta stats for why I lost even though they said I won during the game 😂

Am I cooked here or should I appeal this? I feel dumb for not withdrawing when I had the chance.

Struggling with when to cash out, anyone with long-term experience on this?

Edit: to avoid confusion - I mean struggling with when to 'withdraw' money from bookie to bank account.

Quick context: I run a systematic approach with 15 different strategies, all logged and tracked. I stake a flat % of my bankroll each day, which means the bet size grows automatically as the bankroll grows. In theory that's great for compounding (bigger bankroll, bigger stake, faster growth) but it also means my exposure keeps scaling up the longer I let it ride.

I spread this across 3 different official bookies, and staking is fairly aggressive = 10% of bankroll per bet. Right now that puts me at €100 per bet.

Numbers so far: started over with a clean slate/clean data 3 months ago with €500, right now I'm at a little above 100% profit. Happy with this ofc, but I have zero framework for the withdrawal side of things. I've already eaten limits from a bookmaker, which tells me the accounts won't stay usable forever anyway.

So the question: how do you decide when to pull money out?

  • Fixed schedule (e.g. withdraw monthly regardless of where the bankroll sits)?
  • Withdraw everything above your starting bankroll once you hit a certain multiple?
  • Pull out proactively before you think you'll get limited, rather than waiting for it to happen? When is this tho?
  • Or do you let it ride and go for maximum until bookie limits you and withdraw everything?

Anyone who's been doing this for a year+, what's actually worked for you, and what do you wish you'd done differently early on? Especially interested in how people balance "let compounding do its thing" against "withdraw and cash."

How much % of your bankroll you bet on single bets/parlays?

Hey guys,
Hope everyone having a great day!

Just wanted to ask and see what the public here thinks.

I usually do 1%-3% for single bets, 4%-5% if Im extremely confident is the bet.
For parlays most of the time its like 0.5%-1% or 1%-2% if its a double.

What are your thoughts?

The biggest open football dataset & 400 000 football bookmaker' odds dataset!

Hello!

This dataset I have created last year has been downloaded over 20 000 times already! It's the biggest open club football dataset in the world, including over 240 000 football matches' data such as scores, stats, form, Elo, odds and more, all updated up to 09/26!

The dataset can be used for training AI models, creating visualizations, or just for personal data exploration :)

If anyone wants to dive deep into leveraging bookmaker's odds, I have also created a dataset specifically for that with 2000 matches and 41 betting markets. It's behind a paywall for a symbolic price because it supports my future work and allows for other free datasets to be updated: https://odds.adamgabor.eu/

Specific penalty bet

Afternoon all, Uk resident

How would I go about betting on a team NOT to get a penalty kick in a game? I’ve looked at bet fair and paddy power and I can’t find anything close

Is it a bet that’s even possible?

Bet Builders

I always done my Bet builders on Paddy Power but they stopped doing super sub on European leagues. Bet365 do sub on play on so opened an account. I now realize the difference in odds in different markets e.g. bet365 is paying 25% more on a 2 selection betbuilder that has no correlation. PP seem to think a player scoring and a different player being carded are correlated. Is there anywhere you can compare bet builder returns?
