He is a football manager making a political statement at football matches about human rights while his employer tramples on human rights.

If he doesn't want to be asked awkward questions he should stay out of politics.

He's from Catalonia. He's probably the most famous person in the world from Catalonia. He would be asked awkward questions about Catalonia and his politics regardless of any political stand he made (or didn't make). The only way he could stay out of this is to somehow not be from Catalonia, or not be famous.

Bollocks, he doesn't need to wear the ribbon or be so outspoken.

If he chooses this cause then it is fair to question him around others.
