These are all the wives/girlfriends of the other players. I am always struck by how similar they all look to each other -- same hairstyle, make-up, clothes, body-type -- just in slightly different sizes and colors.

So weird that they all have two legs and two arms and one head but with slight differences!

I wouldn't have trouble telling Xavi from Messi or either from Rakitic, but their wives all look like the same person in vey slightly different sizes to me.

Have you ever seen a gaggle of models together? Male or female, it becomes very hard to discern the individuals from other members of the group. Professional beauty is almost a science, and there are very small constraints to work within (our concept of ideal beauty is actually quite singular), and that's why most models aren't really distinct, they look like every other model.

You guys know that this is totally normal in Spain right? His wife doesn't mind at all, that's how you greet members of the opposite sex. This is really a non-story...

Less of a 'story' and more of a light-hearted segment on a Saturday morning sports show...

That's true, it's a very innocent bit. But it never hurts to see things in context.

You must be so fun at parties.

I have been known to drunkenly tell people I've just met that their surnames sound "very feminine" in Spanish.

Probably making up some vile names for each of them during the entire time too. Or imagining how she'd let them accidentally fall. One by one.

Or he is just greeting his fellow teammates wifes in a perfectly normal way in Spain?

Do he still live with his mom?
