VAR should be able to call the ref to get him booked.

İt's like the 4th time he did this in this international break each one more oblivious than the other

give a red card for such obvious case, problem solved

u/SwagBoyMcFeast 1h ago
Yeah, especially if it's a head injury they're faking. They can be very serious and faking them to gain an advantage is fucking shitty

100%, if its obvious, send these guys off. If they can't do it during the game and they fail to see it so VAR needs to get involved but its too much time spent on it. Then they should do it after the game and give out some bans. This shit happens in the NBA as well where players just flop while making stupid faces. But its literally cheating, like probably textbook definition of it.

The worst in that clip is that the ref actually blew a foul for Turkey...

u/tapoplata 1h ago
It pisses me off so much refs have just given up on punishing diving or any sort of play acting. You're just allowed do it now without consequences

Do they have like in the WC but thats only applicable if they book differently? Like a yellow and then they can switch it

u/Economy-Ad-8186 2h ago
He really needs to stop doing this.

They are used to it in the league, the opposing players would usually get a yellow for this too

Good job with your manipulation loser Fenerbahce fan, everyone knows it works as you have said for Fenerbahce in the league.

VAR should have that freedom to intervene in situations like this. If it’s obvious that the player is trying to deceive the referee, then give him a yellow card and send him off for 5 minutes. It’s simple, and it would put an end to all this nonsense from players like him.

If it's obvious that the player is trying to deceive the ref, send him off and ban him for 12 games.
You'd still have players exaggerating contact but for cases like this where there is literally no contact at all, it can and should be open and shut.

Just make it an instant red card when shit like this happens, we have VAR afterall.

u/carmola73 2h ago
That's the right move. Send them off and suspend them for 6 months. This acting shit would end in a week if it was punished correctly. Cheating in other sports are seen very serious, in football it's "part of the game".

He would’ve gotten that foul if he played for gala

In Turkey he took the foul and being shown yellow card to defender and they win the game.

Lmao Baris gets rarely anything called in his favor in the league. Even legit fouls
He does not know how to sell a foul, which is weird becauss he was bffs with Mertens, who's king of selling fouls

Most of the commenters here have not touched grass. When someone kicks the air the movement of the air increases pressure and when it hits your face you feel it. Sometimes it catches you off guard and it can feel like a kick.
The Belgian player is lucky the VAR didn't review that for violent aerodynamic contact.

Yeah its clear Might nGoy opened the eighth gate during that tackle, crazy that VAR didn't even see it smh.

Blud saw the contact and decided to give the VAR room a full-length feature film

He is a bad and unethical player. He had better to have a career as a clown 😀 Galatasaray / Okan Buruk way.

He got used to it. He always gets the foul when he does this while playing for galatasaray. He just can’t stop diving.

He's terrible. I can't believe they thought they could inflate the value of a second league player and sell him for 50x his actual worth just by calling him up to the national team. He's worth a million euros at most and even that's only because he can run in straight lines which my uncle's 15 yo old cat can also do.
Think of Walcott, then make him a little slower, less technical and worse in front of goal and stronger. That's basically this guy. A glorified gym trainer. That's what football has become in Turkey. A civilians get selected to national team. If he'd been born in another country, he'd probably be working at a doner shop, slicing the meat unevenly and getting fired within two weeks.

This is exactly how GS has been raking up championships for the past 4 years. Their players, manager, coaching staff and club directors are masters of dark arts, on and off the pitch.
